  For a 13 year old wine this is still showing great. Perfect color, packed with minerals and light berries. Slight hint of old school savage.

  CDLR Dinner (Fort Lee, NJ): Fort Lee Dinner with WJ Lee; A very fine expression of Nuits St. George although perhaps more so an example of Cathaird. Old guard pre-Sebastian at its finest. These wines need age for the oak to resolve and drink pleasantly and this rather humble premier cru was a fine example Head to head with much finer terroirs this evening. Stunning.

  This is only getting better. I actually managed to guess the producer here, convinced by the extreme elegance of this wine, so nervous and finely knit, with the plentyful fruit balanced by a cool, almost chalky presens. This on seems open for business, but there is certanly a long life ahead.
