More or less a pop and pour. Blueberry, raspberry, Grenache, lavender and sour cherry on the nose. Got some more Grenache, blueberry, raspberry and sour cherry on the palate. Ended with a nice long finish.
Wow, this wine is outstanding. On the five point scale way below expectations/below expectations/as expected/above expectations/way above expectations, this got a 5. Three birds has been a nice wine in the past and perfectly enjoyable, but this was great due to complexity, smoothness, approachability and an extremely long finish that I could taste well after a minute. You know that taste/feeling in your mouth that you get when you have swallowed a drink of a wine, you sit back and relax and you realize that the flavor is still there on your tongue to enjoy, AND it's not because it's a TBA with 325 gms RS. Well, this had it. Popped and poured. Red and black fruit. Spice but smooth mouth feel.
