What a wine. Start with the legs, the longest I have seen. Its like a hot wax coating it never seems to dissipate. On the nose rich deep notes of plum and cake. In the mouth the wine is thick and chewy and on the mouth rich notes of plum, cherries, raisins and cake. Very long finish, great mouth feel, texture and creaminess. A memorable wine. Booker wines are fabulous.
This was fantastic. Wild blueberry, blackberry, smoke, and grilled meat on the nose and palate. The mineral driven finish goes on and on. Wine buddy Don recognized the quality but thought perhaps too powerful. Wish I had about 10 more.
Decanted 12 hours before tasting. Received this bottle as a gift because I was too dense to select it upon release. Immediate impression of soft chocolate tannin morphs into dark berries followed by tendrils of licorice on one swallow, tar the next, then cigar box. Beautifully rich and round, it continued to evolve throughout the evening. Simply stellar but, unfortunately, not remotely related to subsequent releases. In my opinion, this is the vintage Booker needs to re-locate.
