Time to drink up. Stored in a temperature controlled cellar, this now 4.5 year old Pinot Blanc from Sonoma, California shows how well the acid and structure of Pinot Blanc can handle some short term cellaring. Nicely mature, the color is quite golden. The nose has some some subdued honeysuckle and peach skin. Pretty big mouth feel with honeyed peach, apple, pear, and grapefruit. Maybe even a little nutty flavor. Still very crisp, and the fruit is just beginning to fade. Some brown spice with mature orchard fruit with something mildly sappy on the finish.
