This bottle was beginning to show some pre-ox notes: a distinctly sherried/walnut aroma and a sort of buttery palate, stripped of fresh fruit. It wasn't so bad as to be off-putting, but I'm definitely glad I caught this one before it went further down that road.
as good as i remember it to bo. Quite linear, but with a lot of intensity and tension. Bottle was gone in notime. With cod "a la plancha" with couliflower purée and almond foam. Was a good match for a starter (i.e. not too rich).

Popped and poured. Taste and nose similar to before...pear, a touch of lemon, white grapes. Well balanced, crisp...smooth finish.
A keeper. Will last a few more years, at a minimum.

Rather intense and a bit tight. With air this showed considerable class and weight for its level.
