Pale garnet, strawberry nose with some earthy notes. Tastes of cherry, pomegranate, strawberry and raspberry with an undertone of mushroom, thyme and cinnamon. Silky mouthfeel, long finish. Drinking wonderfully to my taste.

Friends were over for dinner so we opened this and a 2010 Kosta Browne Keefer Vineyard to compare. The KB showed better than the Freeman.
Opened not decanted. Similar profile to the KB, but more funk on the nose and palate. Red citrus on the nose. After about 30 minutes, light in body, elevated heat; more extracted than the KB, and it creates a slight syrupy cover to the wine; ends with a dry citrus finish. Good. FYI, the more air and time it gets the more elevated the heat.

This bottle smelled great but was thin and sour on the palate. Not a great showing.
