2010 Brunello Riserva Bacchanalia (Stewart's house): Showed beautifully, but much more ``modern" in style than the Lupi e Serene before. Very ripe: balsamico, dark blackberry on the nose. Very smooth and rich on the palate, showing sweetness. Just a hint of soft tannin on the finish.
Decanted for 30 minutes before service; could have used more, the wine kept developing over the course of the evening. In the glass, dark, clear red. On the nose, earthy, leathery, with crushed plums and cherries. On the palate, sour cherries with secondary notes of mint and sherry, with a soft texture on the mid-palate; still feels primary in terms of the flavor profile. This is approachable now with 1-2 hours of air, but I think the best days are 5-7 years away. Lots of upside here.
Leather, oak, tobacco, black currant in taste. Medium+ tannins, high acidity, pnp, this need some air. Red berries, long aftertaste, really good. 2-3 hours, really soften up with cherries, ripe fruit. Now 94-95P
