Decanted one hour. Dark red color. Dark fruit on the nose, a little tobacco. Aged well. Black cherry and blackberry, tobacco on the palate. Soft tannins at this point. Really enjoyable. 91pts. Aloha!

Currant, graphite, a touch of cocoa and a bit of cedar. Medium, integrated acid/tannins; a very smooth mouthfeel. Drinking very well now, I wish I had another bottle to see it with even more age.

Graphite nose with black cherry, followed by coffee, blackcurrant and sawdust. Finishes with dark cocoa tannins offset by blackberry fruit, somewhat long and dry but not hard. A personal QPR opened too soon. 90+

4-5 months ago, I said that I had a number of bottles in my "cellar" and that I would drink one or two bottles a year for the next...however long it takes. Tonight we let the bottle decant for about 45 minutes. The cork had dark stained color. Wine is dark in the ideal way you would expect a good Cabernet. The first glass showed signs of immaturity and each sip was slightly different. The second, however, at about 90 minutes of decant time was, showed the signs of a powerful California Cab. It showed small explosions of fruit, it was well balanced, and had a medium yet solid finish. Impressive potential and will clearly appreciate over the next several years. I will be right here to document my opinions and thoughts.

My wife and I had a blind taste test between this wine and another similar Cabernet of similar class and price. Keating was the clear preference for both of us. I have seven bottles remaining in my cellar, we will likely have one or two per year going forward. I cant wait to see how it ages.
