  This bottle was surprisingly good for its age. Dark fruit and spice on the palate mellowing out with some brighter fruit flavors on the finish. This wine had definitely passed its peak, but was still quite enjoyable.

Robust fruit, a little oak, a little spice, a hint of vanilla? A little light on the finish, but very nice. It took about an hour to open up. Before opening, I thought it might be a little past its prime, but it proved to still be lively and enjoyable. Tasty with deep dish spinach pizza!
