Drinking nicely with good acidity but probably needs a little more time to knit together its somewhat disjointed flavours. The 09 was delicious at 3 years old.

Classic Viognier notes of apricot and some green herbs. Ripe but underpinned by just enough chalky minerality. Creamy and soft, unchallenging yet comforting. Pair with creamy chicken dishes.

Tahbilk visit (Tahbilk winery): {screwcap, 12.5%, A$14} Peach, apricot, floral fruit. Not over-the-top at all. Soft palate with a little spiced peach flavour; a perfumed touch. Light-medium body. Medium acid. Not powerful, but fresher than most local examples. A bit mild and dilute. No more than a quaffer. Fair.

Muted fruit flavours and the development of an ageing rubber aroma. I preferred this at a younger age.
