As others have noted, it was a surprise that this is still a good wine. A little thick from the age. The color was a very nice straw - looked much younger than it was. Apple and caramel as others have noted plus some grassiness. A good deal of acidity giving it structure.
Found in the back of the cellar. Thought it would be a goner but pulled the cork anyway. Surprisingly, it's not. Reminiscent of a Tarte Tatin with buttery, caramelized apple flavors. Drank with a St. André triple crème cheese and Carr's wheatmeal biscuits.
