Amazing for its age, fading red but lovely aroma right from the start, opening up over 15-20 minutes to delicate undergrowth scents. Not heavy on the palate, but chocolatey flavours coming through. Lovely clean finish.
Garnet color, turning to reddish brick;camphor, eucalyptus, tar on the nose.Very beguiling and long. On palate: Wet earth, tar, stewed prunes, railroad ties on a hot summer day... delicate, refined and very long finish. Close to perfection; very special. My last bottle of a half a dozen bought in 1969.
