Amazing stuff. This hasn't budged over the past year, drinking almost as it has since release: refreshing in the mouth with sandy minerality, luscious acidity, and light yellow citrus. I had this bottle open for 2 weeks in the fridge and the last glass seemed identical to the first. QPR champion. 5+10+17+9 = 91
I disagree with ctbob, this is in no danger or expiring. The wine seems to have entered the next phase of its life, where acids, still lively, are more in tune with the fruits, which have integrated fully since release. This has just entered its preferred window, where it should remain for the next 3-5 years quite confidently. Constantly becoming something else, this inexpensive Muscadet is a home run. I saw the 2012 the other day in my local, I think I should grab a few. 12,0% abv, recommended
PnP, consumed over 2 nights, both showing equally well; served non-blind.
Notes on 2nd day open. Color has deepened from a year ago to a light gold that is bright and shimmery. Quick legs. A light note of marzipan is now creeping into the sweet citrus and wet cement bouquet. Acidity is still as bold as ever and overall, the palate has barely budged over the past year. I don't know why people have given this such a short drinking window (CT2012-2015) but my personal window goes well beyond 2020. highly recommend. 5+10+16+9 = 90
