Cherry, rhubarb, dark cocoa, even wet gravel on the nose. Some citrus lingering. Has good power. Medium-length finish. Could easily imagine this beating out many other wines with a hearty sausage dinner.

Upon opening, simply delicious. Rich nose, dark red cherries, bur also inviting flowers, roses, hint of a south French forest. Gratifying. Palate has good grip, yet wine feels light and fresh. The fruit is mid red spectrum, a soft cherry at the lead, but more defined by a certain minerality, hint of iron, and spices, starting with some peppers. Finish is long, fruit is more present here than earlier actually. Taken together this is excellent. I have had two previous bottles of this wine (June 2019, March 2022). Both were very good, the 2022 bottle slightly better than the 2019 one), but this clearly dials it up not just one notch, but quite a bit. I find CT’s drinking window to be off, this wine now in its prime, not a hint of decline, to the contrary. Really good wine, wish I had more bottles in my cellar, but sadly my last.

Very good. Decanted 4 hours. Subtle and smooth with hints of rusticity - red and black fruits, particularly hints of cherry and spice. Lovely wine. Drinking very well and not past its peak although certainly ready.
