This is a very pretty and eminently drinkable wine. Pale ruby, with distinct violet notes on both the nose and palate, with core flavors of bright red fruits (currant, tart raspberry) and some creamy blue fruit as well (which comes and goes). Very hard to stop drinking it! Goes down very easy, with a lightness and fresh fruit character. Almost Beaujolais-like in terms of tannins and body, but also very identifiably Spanish. A great expression of Mencía, and a great buy at <$15/bottle. My wife and I finished the bottle in one sitting, which is not the norm for us, so that's saying something.

This is a very drinkable wine. Not too heavy, it complements light dishes, even acidic ones. Good bottle for during the week dining.

Completely agree with Nojomoschwa. A fully mature default qpr wine.
My wife and I also left not a drop in the bottle.

medium bodied and fruity. simple and a bit one dimensional. Not a lot of structure Not unlike a cru Beaujolais.
