Made from whole cluster and consisting of a GSM blend. Portions of the blend are aged in concrete tanks while other portions are aged in 2 year old barriques and yet a third portion is aged in new barriques. The color is a rich and deep purple; you wouldn’t necessarily guess this to be 8 years old. Like the color, the bouquet and palate are rich with layered black fruits, black pepper, blackberry, smoked meats, eucalyptus, smoke and coffee. The finish is a blend of iodine, mineral, and mocha. The brown sugar in the mid-palate again reflects a still youthful wine. The tannins are not yet fully resolved, leaving a bit of a drying effect, yet overall, this is a lovely, smooth and balanced tipple. Still no sediment from this wine which is surprising given the intensity of flavor. 14.5% alc. With cheeses and a seeded baguette. Recommended.

Very enjoyable. The alcohol is remarkable now. This wine is still nice but probably has past its peak. Therefor no rating.

Still lots of red fruit and nicely balanced. But not the impression it made the first time. Still have 2 bottles in the cellar. Will drink them soon.

Quite a sight this leaving the bottle. An inky, almost oily dark red thick liquid.
Lots of red fruit, raspberry, licorice.
Well balanced. Nice.

An impressive, true to place and variety (Gigondas) crushed rock fest offering. Tremendous purity and intensely pleasurable. 91-92.
