Notes de beurre au nez et le bois d'élevage se fait bien sentir. En bouche c'est court, vegetal avec une pointe d'amertume. Pas très satisfaisant. À très mal paru face au vieux donjon blanc.

Quite a fall-off from my last bottle. This had similar qualities as prior bottles, but there was an overwhelming marshmallow fluff note here that was distracting.

“Mixed Bag of Rhône Wines”-Tasting, Flight 1, Wine 2 (non-blind), in January 2014. The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered citrus, apple, pear and mineral notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed citrus, apple, pear, mineral notes and a mild spiciness, paired with medium to medium-plus acidity, high but well-integrated alcohol and a good, creamy mouthfeel. The finish was very long. A full-bodied, medium-complex, very well-balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. Drink now and over the next two years.

this wine does not cellar well - the colour is extremely yellowish, dark straw colour. the nose is tinged with sugar and the taste is a tad oxidised and well past its prime. every bottle i've had is the same so i have ruled out that this is the odd bottle that has gone bad. extremely disappointing for a white CDP.

Opened by thelostverse at Anvil. Deep straw color with alomnd and waxy white fruit aromas. The palate follows the bouquet, with a lovely mineral spine. Very nice save for an austere, sharp quality on the finish that I did not care for.
