Day 1: Love Wine Bid. For some reason avoided them for years but off the chart values over the last year. $31 to the door on this one. Really a cool wine with raspberries, minerals, spice, menthol, candied strawberries, dust and earth. Super complex wine and enjoyable Probably at its peak so drink and enjoy. 93 points

The purity of fruit here was beautiful and delicious. Definitely New World, but not over-the-top, this was ultra-clean and precise, with tannins that were largely resolved but with just a hint of fine-grained texture. Not as good on day 2. My favorite Maison Bleue wine thus far. 91-92

I had this with pulled pork on 10/28/17. It had a deep, elegant, harmonious bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, cola, baking spice and mocha aromas. The palate was rich, elegant and seamlessly balanced with flavors of black cherry, raspberry, cola, mocha, mineral and spice.

(Maison Bleue La Montagnette Grenache Upland Vineyard Snipes Mountain) Wound up tightly initially, this wine unfurls to reveal great aromatic complexity with wild raspberries, plum, peppery spice, and cassis. An incredibly compelling, rich mouthfeel that brings both weight and ethereal lightness with exceptional purity of fruit. A seemingly endless finish. Unlike any other Grenache being produced in the state, this wine is simply in a class by itself. 100% Grenache. 30% whole berries, 15% stem inclusion. Aged 10 months in five year-old French oak barrels. Racked once with regular lees stirring. 14.8% alcohol. 165 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

Thanksgiving wine and it was drinking beautifully. Plenty of fruit remaining and a nice depth that I don't remember from earlier drinking.
