Friends and I had this at the Woodinville tasting room on 3/1/14. It had a wonderfully deep, rich and concentrated bouquet of floral, blackberry, raspberry, smoked meat and spice aromas. The palate was rich, full and beautifully integrated with flavors of blackberry, raspberry, licorice, spice and minerals.

Is there a better way to celebrate a Seahawks win than to taste some great, old vine Syrah from Washington State?
Classic Boushey with about 5 different varieties of smoked meat dancing on the nose. The palate is surprisingly red fruited and bright although it finishes with some clear (and slightly distracting) elements of heat. Texturally, this is quite silky and lithe without a hint of tannin. Ross has treated great fruit with great respect. Beautiful Syrah.

I too think this wine is drinking well. So smooth that I wanted more when it came to the end of the bottle.

Ready to drink. Not sure I liked the style. I will reserve judgement and retry soon.

This needs more time. Showing lots of promise. Try again in 2017.
