PnP chilled. Large, then small bubble size, heavy then light stream. Light golden/straw color. Toast/yeast nose. Med tart fruit, green apple, strong yeast. At or just over peak drinking window. Served with Rainer cherry's, strawberries, red apples. Nothing off but yeast influence more pronounced than 6 months ago. Drink by 2016.
Pop and pour. Nice light golden straw color. Bubbles medium, becoming smaller. Toasty, yeasty nose. Strong fruit - green apple. Strong yeast, but not over the top. Medium tart/acid. We really enjoyed this on the deck with some fresh Ranier cherries, apples, strawberries.
One of the best schramsberg's I've had & that's saying a lot. Rich round full w layers & layers of flavors. Green apple & candied/dried pineapple w yeast & nutty flavors. Some of the incredible flavor profile may be its age as a 2001 vintage. Not sure it will continue to improve. Wow.
