Vastly disappointing, though it has improved a bit about 24 hours later (which is strange, because its improvement is also marked by some oxidation, presumably because of its age; but there is a bit more fruit). I have insufficient experience with this grape to say much more than I found the wine astringent and lean (thin) to a degree almost of disappearance. I've had better $2.99 wines from Trader Joe's (well, make that $3.99 wines).

A smooth medium bodied wine with a nice mix of blackberries and fresh red fruits. Very mineral, salty and chalky, high acidity and easy drinking style with soft texture. Would have hoped for a little more weight and prefer wine with less acidity, but I still like it. Best with food. Good now. Glas stopper. - 89 points

Leithaberg is a special area on the south side of the sea? Hillside and a very chalky, marl soil. Fruitier, and black fruitier at that. Juicy and lively on the palate. Works it out at $40.

A business lunch (Jachthaven Hillegersberg, Rotterdam, NL): A beautifully clean, pure and natural expression of the grape variety; rich colour, fresh (6.2 gr/l TA) and transparent, bright cherry fruit, hint of spice, attractive bitters and a mineral finish. Lacks the weight and complexity however for a higher score.

Very thing at opening, needed 30 mins to open.
Beautifully balanced and complex.
A very nice surprise!
