  Christmas menu with roast venison, red cabbage and baconed dumplings, matched really perfect! From my last MAgnum of this: very intense nose, lets say a perfume, sweet and delicious smell, fruit compote, spices, on the palate still young with animating acidity, christmas biscuits, some red fruits, ripe plums, very velvety melting, a very young appearance of this specific bottle, long+ aftertaste, an outstanding bottle, still a lot of years ahead, ***(*- ?), 92-94?

  A shy yet noble nose of musty sweet vanilla, leather, hints of summer fruits, flowers, black and red cherries, figs and minerals. Its medium bodied, linear, lively, savoury yet austere palate has very good to excellent concentration, swathes of freshly fruited clovey red and black fruits ending on a long, dry and zingy food friendly finish. Expressive wine.

  Pleasant, lightweight and easy drinking. Pretty rose and dusty earth aromas, with a backdrop of dried cherries. I would have preferred just a touch more concentration, as the finish really tailed off. Still a nice wine though.
