  • Dark purple ink. Strongly concentrated plums, mulberries and sweet cedar on the nose. Massive palate-saturating fruit. A little harshness on the lengthy finish. Just a trace left of once robust tannins.

  • Inky purple in the glass. Soaring and sumptuous nose of sweet licorice, plum and cherry preserves, vanillin oak with a hint of violet perfume; each one then forming layer upon luscious layer of flavor on the palate. An invigorating dose of bright acidity keeps it from tipping over to jamminess. The tannins have melted away, with just the faintest trace emerging on a mile long finish. Bold, brash and unapologetically opulent, it firmly cements the Languedoc's reputation as France's "new world" wine region.
