Still a very good, very drinkable Bourgogne Rouge, but fading a bit. Fruit fading, and the oak is now dominant in the flavor profile. Look for this wine in future ripe vintages and pop and pour. If you still have the 2010, drink up.
Was preferred by most over several 1er Cru bottlings in my wine club's blind tasting of '10 Cote de Beaune. Incredible value in a red burgundy. Drinks well now with some short term aging potential. Well balanced. Great producer, better known for his whites.
12.5% - Clear, pale & bright ruby / clean, med intensity - redcurrant, rhubarb, dried cranberry, black tea, a hint of white pepper, very enjoyable burgundy nose / dry, med acidity, med- body, med to low tannin (still some grip), med intensity and length. Some citrus notes (orange peel). 87-88
