Slow ox'd around 15-20 min before serving. Open & inviting nose showing strawberry & cherry w/some spicy aromatics. Bright palate with a burst of pure fresh red berry fruit accented with some darker bing cherry notes. Excellent intensity through the mid palate. The weight & mouthfeel are marvelous here. Bright acidity freshens this & makes it hard to leave the glass alone. Mild tannins. Excellent length.
Very pleasant PN. Nose had notes of raspberry, rhubarb, forest floor and white pepper. On the palate, notes of tart raspberry and cranberry, loads of mineral with bit of a spicy kick on the back end. Showed well, and think it can improve in the next year or two.
Fantastic wine - my favorite of the trip. Great red fruit intensity mixed with spice and a bit of dry earth. Still with the unmistakable Anthill freshness. Delicious today and will drink well for the next seven to ten years. Yum. (93)
