Very tart red cherry, along with earth and barnyard notes on the nose. Medium bodied (13.2% ABV) with red cherry and red berries both upfront and through the middle. Mid-body shows some nice roundness, but the tart qualities on the backside overpower much of the wine. Not sure if the wine is flawed or simply past prime. But having tried a 2009 last year, this bottle lacked in fruit and the acidity was out of balance. Given this vineyard's general profile of rich fruit and solid structure, I will call this an older bottle with a slight flaw.

Light, elegant, svelte. Resolved structure, with bright cherry, spice and earth notes. Really lovely wine.

Pretty good, with some spice and bright fruit, but a bit confected. By day two it's pretty much gone.
