A l’aveugle Nez de pinot bien évolué, terne et boisé, austere, sans vie. Les tanins sont stricts, le fruit est fatigué… on sent bien qu’un est en Bourgogne, cependant sans l’extase. Et ça, c’est pas le style de Sylvain Pataille!

Nez d'abord un peu réservé sur les fruits rouges et les épices. La bouche est un peu étriquée. Le vin ne semble pas prêt et je remets cela au lendemain. Le nez est devenu beaucoup plus intense et la bouche a nettement gagné en volume. Fraîcheur et intensité rendent ce vin très énergique. Attendre 2-3 ans
As usual the Pataille wines have their own distinctive tang and this is a more refined version of the signature palate; tightly coiled, black fruit with a cool finish. Some tang and crunch in there, but also a deeper, reserved element here as well that will take time to come out. Drinking really well now at cellar temperature; needs air and probably a few more years. Impressive substance.
