Supps with the girls (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney): Wild ferment, whole bunch, smidge of VA but this doesn't translate to the palate so is probably just my weary nose...fleshy and juicy, all raspberry, strawberry with a smidge of cherry. Lovely

Properly pale; ethereal, smoky, raspberries; skinny fruit, complete absence of flash, under wrought earthiness, medium weight; an attractive spikey bite on an uncompromising finish. More than a nod to natural winemaking. 2 months on from Coravin, opened. Probably better, though a coarseness on the finish.

Consumed over 3 nights. Received as hostess gift at party so did not know much about the wine. I did not find it to be a typical Burgundian wine. It tasted strongly of red cherry fruit and for me finished with a bit of jammy almost sweetness. Not very balanced or elegant. Tasted much more like a new world Pinot. Was better on night one and the jammy flavor was most pronounced by third night. I would not buy this wine.

Ungenerous for a 2009, this high-acid wine expresses much more about its hipster semi-carbonic "natural" upbringing than it does about the hill of Corton. Although I don't mind drinking its tangy, earthy red-fruit flavors with my dinner of roast chicken and potatoes, a good Chinon would have done just as well at half the price.

Medium dull ruby. Inviting nose of cherry and smoke with a whiff of berryish carbonic scents. Ripe but not overly so with the same combination of red fruit and discrete char without a lot of minerality but discernible soil. Alluring, silky texture that stands out for this being a "minor" village wine. Open, soft and drinking very well right now.
