Decant 2 hours. On open, whoa nice bouquet, deep red in glass, some mineral/tannic bite. Improved with air, and great with grilled butterflied lamb. Palate of dark red fruits, black cherry, blackberry, mineral, earth, very light vanilla, wood. More fresh red fruit, cherry, and floral notes in nose. A bit edgy with acid and tannin, moderate full body, good length, fine finish. Delicious now, another 3 or 4 years will only bring greater integration of tannin. Seems like it could age a long time....

Oak-imparted 'sweet' bouquet upon opening, which with air revealed varietal elements, dark fruit, and mineral ores. Also shy on the palate for the first few hours and then it came to life with rivers of fruit, powerful acid, and stalwart tannic grip. This primary wine needs time to shed its baby fat, integrate, and come into its own. Hold until 2020-2022 and rink through 2028-2030. Serious juice!

WOW! This dark red wine with a medium - full body was a delightful surprise. Excellent nose followed by a huge pleasant mouthful of blackberry and liquorish. Finish went on for a long time. This is one of the best wines I have enjoyed for a long time. The wine steward at my business club called it a "big boy wine".

Medium body dark red wine. Nice mix of plum and dark currant fruit. Super finish.
