Washington Wine Trip; 6/15/2012-6/19/2012: Tasting room pour. Black in color. Blackberry fruit, tart dark fruits on the nose, with smoke and a black pepper nuance in the upper register. On the palate, blackberry fruit leads into black cherry pit, with a wonderful tense tartness, meat, and charcoal. Huge mouthfeel, tightly wound tannins, med+ finish. Very nice. Drink in 2 years, over the next 8+.
