  • Popped and poured. This is a cherry-red wine with notes of balsam, scrub, cherry, and crushed olive skin. The nose is best during the first hour in which the bottle was open. In the mouth, this is supple but has definite acidic tones, all leaving a finish with rosewater aspects. Overall, this is a very nice Rosso that is quite drinkable now, but calls out for a nice pasta or similar dish. 91 points.

  • You gotta love a winemaker who decides the vintage doesn't allow for the making of a Brunello and turns the whole harvest into a Rosso instead. At least when the Rosso is this good. It is elegant and complex in an understated way. Fruit is cherries with violets, there's a touch of tea, of mild and elegant tobacco and herbs. The taste confirms, it's all there, even a touch of pine-ified raspberry shows up. The wine is wide-open, giving and refreshing with nice acidity, finely grained tannins and a nice touch of crushed stone. It turns out Diego Molinari was right, this isn't a Brunello as it won't improve with age. It still tastes better than most Brunellos and what a treat that you don't have to wait ten years. 92 including the love Diego Molinari shows us and his wine.

  • Haw tea colour, some red currant hue, very clear and thick. Nose: sweet and full with little violet scents. Some macerated cherries and sweet cherries, quite clean. Taste: the wi e is robust but with great balance; medium acidity, tannins also medium but sweet and well integrated. Great drinkability. Plums and sweet cherries. Very long finish. The best RdM ever tasted so far.

  • Granato leggermente più scarico di Giulio, naso più sul frutto a bacca piccola, lampone e amarena, qualche nota di dolcezza di spezia da botte, il naso resta sempre pulito e goloso, bocca slanciata, fresca, scattante, fruttata, con meno pressione palatale rispetto a Giulio ma ovviamente anche lui finisce in un baleno con la fiorentina.

  • One of the best RdMs I've ever had by a decent margin and, as it should be for its $45 price tag. This has ethereal qualities combined with a feather weight and elegance. Very pretty and very fresh. Is this organic? I too, need to taste the Brunello soon.
