Popped and poured but should have decanted for sediment. Medium garnet color. Nose of Christmas fruit cake along with roasted plum and black cherry and baking spices. Similar flavors on the palate with a candied black cherry note to go along with the spice and charred oak notes. Medium acid. Not much in the tannin department but very smooth on the mouthfeel and finished long. Exceeded expectations at this point and everyone really enjoyed it.

Presumably corked, because this bottle yielded nothing over several nights, until it started to taste unpleasant. Too bad, as I was looking forward to trying this.

(Force Majeure Collaboration Series VI Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Red Mountain) Locked up tightly right now, this is a moderately aromatic, steely wine with spice, floral notes, sauvage, mineral notes and dark fruit. The palate is breathtaking with seamless dark fruit flavors that spread out from end to end and linger for a solid minute on the finish. 48% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, and 24% Syrah. Aged in neutral French oak. 14.9% alcohol. 140 cases produced. James Mantone winemaker. Sample provided by winery.

PNP drinking nicely from first pour, really opened up after an hour in the glass. It held up well on day 2 & 3.

Felt this wine lacked complexity and was a bit disjointed with alcohol dominating

Full and very primary. Was hoping for a bit more complexity but this is still quite tasty. Dark fruit, licorice, prominent tannins.
