The nose was a bit reticent after first opening but came round after about half an hour into cedar and damsons. This gave way to a more strawberry jam fruit flavour on the palate still backed by fresh acidity and still some soft tannins, though mellowed with spicy oak flavours. Slightly alcoholic finish which leads me to think this needs drinking sooner rather than later, which is a shame as fruit and tannins still have some life left.
