A fairly basic, inoffensive wine. Nothing really memorable. Not really coming across as the tannic beast others describe, but that could be a factor of the additional shelf time. Dark berries, dark fruits, mocha, oak. Little integration of the elements. Low price-point could make this a contender for an event with neophyte drinkers (going back to the "inoffensive").

Grade G+. Plastic cork. Very tight and tannic at first, needed 3 hours of air. Interesting blend of Cab, Merlot and Syrah like they used to do back in 18th Century Bordeaux. Black cherry in glass, nose of black fruit, tar, bacon, burnt sugar, menthol, too hot and un-complex palate of blackcurrant and lead pencil, slightly rough and bitter tannins, dry finish of sour cherries and burnt toast. Better with food (burger in this case).
My Grades: EXX=Exceptional, EX=Excellent, VG=Very Good, G=Good, O=Ordinary, P=Poor, U=Ungraded

No formal notes. Very tannic upon opening. After an hour wine really opened up and was great.
