  • Dark, black.
Bright sherbet, mulberry and cassis fragrance, dark spice.
Strong fine mouth coating tannins, powerful cassis, tar spice, licorice. Intense, ripe, a little earthy, but surprisingly youthful. Has the refined herbal edge of classic Brunello, beyond fruit.

  • Simply impeccable. DECANT AND WAIT! The bottle was still unapproachable until hour 6. Its amazing how it developed over those hours, but there is a reason its one of the most remarkable Brunello available.

Bitter cherries developed to juicy raspberries with a long smooth finish that rested on the palate for minutes. Nice smoke and earth, but all classy. Paired with bone in Veal Parmesan, and the wine carried the meal, not the meat!

  • Black fruits, cherries, slight leather, spices. Smooth. Not bad. Ok to open now but should improve with more time.

  • showing a rusty red color with scents of rose petals, leather, dried cherries and lavender, this is built Brunello done in an assertive and modern style, powerful tannin, oak plays along with expressive flavors of blackberry, tobacco leaf, dried herbs, anise and cherry pits, complex, intense, absolutely classy, in the drinking window now with plenty of stuffing to hold up in the cellar, decanting recommended, had with Tuscan styled rib-eye steak

  • Christmas Day Dinner 2015 at Table At 7 (Table at 7): Note from memory. Poured into decanter. Drank after 2 hours of air.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour, bricking edges. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoky toasted oak, black cherries, earth, tobacco, licorice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of smoky toasted oak, black cherries, earth, licorice, tobacco. Long finish. Young and so much power bridling within.
Very good quality. Give this at least another 4-5 years for more development.
Blend of 3 vineyards. Modern style.
