  Nice wine that is probably just past peak. Typical house style that leans more claret like, but probably a bit more fruit forward than some of their other offerings (Guidos, Monte Rosso, etc). Not sure what the reviewer from 2014 was drinking but the Charter Oak zins are about as far from 'jam, jam' jam' as you can get. Drink now.

  Fruit was nice, but this didn't have as much complexity as I would have hoped or expected. Enjoyable, but nothing spectacular. Alcohol was high, but not noticeable.
