Totally changed in 1+ year. Now this is really good, tannins are well integrated, fruit is expressive, a treat! Still some ageing potential, but from now on it should be good

I could have written the exact same review as my predecessor on this wine except that my positive experience with the producer was with a 2010 Cote du Rhône which led me to buy this Hermitage. I'll let my remaining bottle sleep in the cellar and see if anything better comes out later.

Dark red. Notes are slight muted, probably sleeping. Smoky on the nose. Elegant rather powerful, fruit driven with pepper and other spices, overall disappointing. I had St. Joseph 2009 from the same wine maker first and I found St. Joseph better.

Definitely drinks as a mature wine and while it is soft it has adequate structure and some nice complex flavors.
