  • Translucent cranberry ruby color. Reticent nose at first which
later becomes very perfumey with high tones and a bit of alcohol. But this is all about the elegance and texture of the front and mid palate. Supple texture of juicy red fruit but still much more classic in style than typical for the vintage. Strong mineral tannic grip on the finish which is intense and firm. A bit tart even but this seems like it can go to sleep for quite a while longer.

  • Perfectly competent, if not particularly exciting. Ripe red fruit, good acidity, not too much structure and drinking pretty open. Unlike the domaine wines, I don't see age improving this much.
