pale yellow color. aromas or oak and vanilla. This is a Chardonnay lovers wine. the taste is very oaky and buttery with hints of vanilla. the body is thinner than the initial taste would suggest (this is a fume blanc after all, but i close my eyes and think chardonnay) there is good acidity and a finish of.....oak. the oak monster is in the house on this wine. ive had the 2001 and 2003 and do not recall this being so oaky. some people will love this style. this is a drinkable wine, but i feel the oak is little overdone.

This was too cold when opened, better near room temp.. Enjoyed with chicken casserole with artichokes

Bold oak and citrus flavors, but nicely balanced. Paired very well with a shrimp and artichoke dish.
