I've opened a bunch of these. A couple have been drinkable, but more out of curiosity than pleasure. Most have been an oaky, overly buttery, completely oxidized mess. On the first few sips I thought this might be one of the better showings, but it was purely wishful thinking. I couldn't get past the first few mouthfuls. I hung onto the bottle for 24 hours and tried again to like it. I wanted so badly to like it, but failed. Down the drain. I expect that's where the rest of my bottles will also end up.

Poured blind with 4 wine nerd friends and they could not solve it. Initial guesses were old Mersault, a Spanish white, a Greek white... the closest guess was an old Kalin Chard. Complex and intense, with poached pear, caramel, hazelnut, and sherry notes. We think that something went wrong with this vintage at School House, which is why it's being sold for $15-16/bottle compared to their usual $50+ price point. Fans of the typical Cali Chard profile would likely want to dump this down the drain. But it's actually an interesting food wine that paired well with our lunch - especially with well-salted hand cut frites.

Stunning Chard. Just a kiss of oak. plenty of subtle yet sexy fruit. Someone please let me know where I can get this for $40 or less as many of you have. thx

Whoa! This one is looong gone. Nasty, oxidized mess. Undrinkable. Down the sink.

Def beyond peak. Had my most previous bottles in 2015, were outstanding.
