  Beautiful clear ruby with a brick rim. This is quite fragrant on opening and continues to build in the glass. Wet, leafy forest floor with sharp dried cherry skins. Entry is equally strong, but this quickly turns to a punishing middle and quite drying tannins. Quite a beast. A young wine at 13 years. This likely has or will have a great deal of complexity once it can smooth out the rough edges. Needs a strong decant currently. Needs a strong meal also. Will wait until tomorrow and have it with Brasato al Barolo.

  Still very young. Dark translucent hues of ruby. Lots of legs. The nose had intense and fragrant scents of red berries and cola. Palate was full bodied and tannic with lots of ripe red fruits. Slightly syrupy. Could go for some more years. Overall, a pleasant experience.

  Solid 92. Elegant, complex...red fruits, cola, great finish. A bit tannic at first but quick decant opened it up nicely. Will see how it ages but not sure it will last until 2025.
