  • Second bottle after Newton The Puzzle. Interesting cedar notes. Fruit quite soft. Still some life but should drink sooner rather than later.

  • IN OC with Ralph and Butch. Opened for about 30 minutes of slow-ox, drank over an hour with first course of grilled sausages, fava beans, tomato and Buffalo mozzarella...

Consistent with prior notes: "Medium dark crimson/red color. Rich nose, very fragrant on the decant. Dark fruits, sour cherry, strawberry hint, cigar box, cedar. Long finish, great wine to linger over for an evening."

Really in a good spot right now. Should hold at this level for another 3-5 years.

  • Pulled this bottle to have with pizza and pulled pork leftovers...need to punch up the dinner...

Consistent with prior notes. Popped and poured, drank over 2 hours. Got better as it opened. Medium dark crimson/red color. Rich nose, very fragrant on the decant.

Dark fruits, sour cherry, strawberry hint, cigar box, cedar. Long finish, great wine to linger over for an evening. Softened a bit since last bottle. Tannins fully integrated, mellow mid palate and medium finish.

  • A big fruit bomb with no complexity whatsoever. Typical of a cheap wine. Might be decent for $10 to $15 but I wouldn't pay more.

  • Been a few years since I had this wine, its aged nicely. Decanted for 90 minutes.

Medium dark crimson/red color. Rich nose, very fragrant on the decant. Definitely needs the decant to get going...some alcohol and menthol on the nose.

Dark fruits, sour cherry, strawberry (secondary flavor) cigar box, cedar. Long finish, great wine to linger over for an evening. Not sure it will improve but I think it will last a while. Will hold reminding bottles for a while.
