Popped and poured. Lemon and a bit of honey on the nose. Stone fruits, citrus and mineral on the palate. Good body but not as rich as some other vintages of Huet that I have had. Acidity carries the wine through to a long finish. Although not the best vintage of this wine, tasted blind most guessed much younger. Drinking very well today and should last several years before beginning to decline. Excellent. 91 points

BlindFaith.Online Blind Tasting Competition Season 5: France vs ROW.
Wine 2 Notes: Pale Gold with a watery rim. Interesting nose with Barley sugar and hazelnuts. Intense and powerful - it’s full bodied with good acidity. Slightly more savoury than Wine 01 - there’s some steely acidity, a lovely balance of power, and a nutty character at the back of the palate. Excellent wine.
My guess: As mentioned with Wine 01 - my thinking did stray to Chenin, but I didn’t spot any ‘classic Chenin giveaway here’. So I went for 2015 Chablis - a very good one.

in the glass this has that beautiful golden yellow that one would come to expect from an aged Huet. The nose was showing hints of age with some of chenin's wet wool notes but it was mostly showing citrus fruits , some slightly on the exotic side. very forthcoming , slightly showy on the palate, this is just starting to show a little age. it still has a back bone of acid but it is not tight and bright as it is in it's youth. The fruit is still very present and the length is is about medium to medium + depending on how you like your Huets, there are no problems with drinking this now. I would not not keep it for more that another 3 years or so in fear of losing it's freshness and zip. To compare it with other vintages aged at 10 years, it misses the body and sexiness of the 09 and the zip of the 07. 10 years or so is about when I like to drink these dry wines from Huet.

This has developed nicely over the last 3-4 years, showing complexity and depth now. Perfect now, feels like should hold 5-10 years more.
