Deep red in color; nose is very wet forest floor and spice and almost a wet oaky aroma as well (not unpleasing but different); In the mouth this one is pretty full of grip and a little out of joint on the acid as well. This just isn't balanced. I really like the other Sandhi Pinots and especially their Chardonnay...this one, however, is not for me and at the price not one I would do again.
Maybe give it until 2016 to see if it integrates more (perhaps it is awkward right now). I think drinking it now would be not wise as hopefully it gets better with more age in bottle

Nose is a little sweeter and fresher than the Sanford and is more savoury and tight on the palate. There is still the nice pure fruit and a light floral note, but the dryness and grip makes me feel it needs more time to develop.
