  Nice wine. On the nose there was a nice currant and cherry with a hint of mellowed vanilla (not overpowering but present). The tannins had rounded out which made for a smooth mouth feel along with cherry notes, a little carmel, and black fruits. Charlie does a great job.

  My first really enjoyable Wash State Cabernet. I love the soft, supple texture and the sweetness to those soft tannins. Definately in the more elegant camp of cabernets. Just enough acidity to keep the cherry and black currant flavors lively. Nice chocolately notes that are almost syrah-like. While very enjoyable, it leaves me wishing for just a little more depth. For me, this is proof Wash State is the real deal and will now be my focus for more affordable high quality cabernets.

  Very good wine, took a little while to open up. Another example how much better the value is in up in WA. The wines are not cookie cutter Napa style. This has a long finish, soft tannins and redder fruit than I am used to. It has some pine, tobacco Bordeaux type notes in the background. My wife and her mother thought it was the best one period they've had in a long time....if this is in Oakville, this $75. Ordering a case.

  Best example of a Washington Cab I've had yet. Good structure, excellent balance, smooth tannins, plenty of fruit and a long finish. This splits the difference between a cal cab and Bordeaux with a fruit forward personality but not at the expense of balance or elegance. At $35ish it's a good deal and I'll look to buy some more. (Note to self, Erika loved this one)
