Raspberry and boysenberry fruit, a touch of plum right at the end. Good mouth feel, not quite satiny but pleasing. A soft on the finish for what I might have hoped for. Very good before dinner, but not enough acid to pair quite as well with the meal.
9/20/2019 Time in the bottle seems to have done this wine proud. No mention of being overly soft in my notes this time. Still has bright purple fruit and finishes with oak and vanilla that has a pleasant sharp punch.

Deep purple color. The aroma is reminiscent of baked berry cobbler. The combination of darker fruits and spice continue on the palate. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy. It has a lovely, lingering finish. Ferrington vineyard never disappoints, and Arista has done a great job bringing out the best from this vineyard.

Rich berry flavor, deeper than most Pinots, drink it now, soft tannins
