A bit on the lighter side for the vintage. Ripe red fruit, a touch of minerality, fairly smooth, with some remaining backbone. Not particularly complex, but a well priced and enjoyable village wine that should hold up for a number of years.

Screams Gevrey. Well-made wine that won't knock your socks off but has the stuffing to last 10 more years. Will hold a few to test the theory. Solid QPR.

An open nose of deep red and black cherries, plum, leather, smoke, peat, a whiff of manure and plenty of gevrey earth mixed with an underlining note of violet come through generously. Shows good cut to the flavors with appropriate acid. Good palate coverage. 89+

Very nice QPR on this one. Wine was a bit rustic in character. Full bodied and well balanced. A bit of forest floor mixed with red fruit. Lacks the complexity and finesse of the best. Still young but enjoyable now.

Smokey notes of cumin. Green stemmy chewyness, pretty meaty and young still.
