Opened for a mental reference. Simply put it is great. Evolved into sassafras, cocoa, and meaty flavors, at peak so easy to drink and supple. Don't wait any longer.

Perhaps still a little too early to open this bottle - it has the bones to certainly age another 5 years - but I sure enjoyed it. As commented by others, the typical syrah pepper in the nose, and still some beautiful fruit, with the tannins softening nicely.

A quick check in from my case, and this hasn't changed a lot - still very bright and exuberant with red fruit and olives framed by peppery and floral notes, but I'll wait on these a few more years to see some development. It certainly has the structure to age, with plenty of fine grained tannin and bright acids beneath the fruit.
