Mature pale gold colour. A muted nose but with the palate offers up a generous full bodied mouthfill with hazelnut, walnut, apple, vanilla, honeyed and with a hint of burnt toffee too. This is round, creamy and textured. Much better than my last bottle.

Pale gold, slight oxidative aromas, ripe apple. The palate has the soft, slightly flowery red apple flavours, zesty lemon, hazelnut, nougat, oxidative notes of sherry on the long finish. Complex but much preferred it in its youth. I’m concluding the mature White Burgundy is not a style I’m very keen on- challenges with corked bottles and oxidation doesn’t make it worth keeping in my view.

Domaine visit. Found the aromas here a bit off message, more like an Italian red. Vegetable notes, lemon, asparagus.

Pronounced nose intensity with slight honey, toast, lemon. High acidity and full bodied. Long finish.
