Still drinking nicely. Tannins are relaxed and mouthfeel is soft. Full dark red fruit on nose and palate. Has some layering with a medium length finish.

Drinking well, can still age for a few more years as tannins are holding up well. Has the chalk undertones with a silky mouthfeel typical of Stag’s Leap district. Full blue fruit with long finish.

Disappointing... Nose of black plum, red berries brambles, neutral wood and alcohol. Palate is medium bodied with velvety texture, Dry, sharp acidity and generous tannins. For a higher tier Cali Cab ($85) this comes across rustic and lacks refinement. The acidities sharpness is distracting and seems unnatural as you feel it going down your throat. Short finish. Was this an attempt at a Bordeaux style wine? After having the other 2009 PRV cabs, rutherford, howell, napa, Oakville, cave 7, etc. this wine is a Huge disappointment. Might have been an off bottle. Purchased winery direct, stored accordingly and enjoyed 60 – 70 with grilled beef. Start cracken these open as there is not enough fruit to support the acidity long term. Drinking window now – 5 years…Na zdrowie

Haven’t had this in two years and it’s still going strong. One of the better Pine Ridge SLD vintages.
